This document is to determine and implement policies regulating and administrating customer services as provided by Global Net, LLC By signing on to Global  Net, LLC you agree to these terms!
This document covers the following areas:

1. Billing Policy
1a. Credit Cards that do not go through, due to customers cancelling cards, expired, or overdrawn, declined, etc. may incur a .25 a day fee added to your bill. It is important and the responsibility for a customer to keep us informed.

2. Acceptable usage of PPP dialup accounts. Outlines restrictions and conditions for usage.
3. Inactivity disconnect times and restrictions.
4. Usenet policy and acceptable posting policy. Spam (Totally Un-Acceptable)
5. Customer responsibility and cooperation.
6. Canceling your Service (Terminating your Account).

1. Billing Policy
Billing Statements are sent via US MAIL or EMAILED based on your payment plan and billed in Monthly / 6 Month / Yearly depending on your plan (If Paying by Credit Card charges are applied automatically), by the the 1st of each month. If you have a question about your bill contact us at billing@globalco.net for a faster response, or call 740-450-7050 or toll free 888-450-1102 option 3 as your second choice to email.. All Statement's  are due  before the 1st of each new month. Please remit payment to Global Net, LLC immediately upon receipt. If we do not receive payment the account will be disabled and may be subject to a restart fee of $25. Please try to remember this and pay ahead of time to alleviate any billing problems.  All accounts that are paid after the start of a new month will incur a $2.00 late fee. No refunds on any accounts. paid accounts will remain usable throughout their paid, or paid in advance cycle. We cannot reimburse payments. Pre-Paid Plans MUST BE PAID before end of closing business day, on the last day of the Month or account will lock and will be subject to additional fees.  Please pay accounts on time!

2. Acceptable Usage of PPP accounts.
PPP accounts are the most basic service Global Net, LLC offers to customers. It is also the most heavily used account in terms of number of customers accessing this service and therefore is subject to the most abuse. PPP dialup accounts are used on a "dialup" basis, meaning they are used only as needed and in no way are intended to be operating 24 hours a day on an ongoing connection. Nor does this type of account support a static IP address. The account may be accessed as little or as much as a customer needs, however Global Net, LLC has strict definitions of how that service is determined.
The service may be used for WWW viewing or uploading via our commercial web servers. the account may be used for reading or posting to Usenet newsgroups, sending or receiving and reading of electronic e-mail, transferring of files via the FTP protocol or telnetting to remote sites PPP accounts cannot be used as a commercial avenue or connection for a dedicated server site to the Internet PPP accounts cannot be accessed simultaneously by multiple users using the same username PPP account holders cannot use automated processes such as checking e-mail or pinging our host to maintain a constant connection.
3. Inactivity and disconnect inactivity policy.
The account will be disconnected automatically within 15 minutes of inactivity. This time is general and subject to change as mandated by the System Administrator of Global Net, LLC Inactivity is defined as periods when no activity is detected by Global Net, LLC through electronic means and the account is not being actively used by a dialup user. Electronic or mechanical means to avoid an inactivity disconnect are strictly prohibited. Electronic or mechanical means include: pinging the mail server; electronic or software auto dialer features to maintain an active connection; repetitive checks for e-mail by auto login to the mail server. Abuse of these conditions and others not identified can result in a customer having their account disabled until these processes are halted in agreement with Global Net Appropriate Use Policy. Electronic means of auditing a suspected abused connection will be done by Global Net with the above guidelines in mind and with respect for the customer's privacy. Continued abuse or violations of the above conditions my result in a customers account being permanently disabled and all previous agreements rendered null and void.

4. Usenet policy and acceptable posting procedures.
Usenet access is provided to all dialup customers of Global Net Customers are free to subscribe to as many or as few newsgroups as they wish. In conjunction with established Usenet protocols, Global Net advises customers not to post to newsgroups until the customer has familiarized themselves with the subjects and established guidelines of the newsgroup. Some restrictions of newsgroup postings have been established by Usenet and are respected by Global Net Customers unconditionally agree to these protocols and policies with their account. These include:
Post articles to groups pertaining to the posting. Inappropriate postings are not appreciated by participants of newsgroups nor are they allowed under Usenet protocols. Some newsgroups do not allow commercial postings. Users are encouraged to verify this before making any such posting. Irresponsible blanket postings to all or large numbers of newsgroups simultaneously with disregard to the newsgroups subject is forbidden. Chain letters are not allowed to be posted Irresponsible newsgroup postings which result in large numbers of complaints to Global Net News Administrator may result in a customers account being disabled Only the Global Net News Administrator may create new Usenet groups. Any abuse of this policy will result in a customers account being disabled and all other previous agreements rendered null and void. Any disregard for the above conditions may result in an account being disabled.

5. Customer responsibility and cooperation.
All customers and subscribers of Global Net agree unconditionally to not in any way intentionally or maliciously cause harm to the equipment, software, or processes operating Global Net Any violations of this agreement will result in civil and/or criminal penalties as prescribed by local, state and federal laws applicable in this area.
The Internet hosts some material deemed unfit for viewing and reading by minors under the age of 18. Some sites contain information both in text and graphical formats that may be considered obscene or harmful. Customers and subscribers of Global Net's services will not hold Global net responsible for sites and postings which could be considered obscene, lewd, offensive and/or harmful. It is Global Net policy that individuals are responsible for their own monitoring and viewing habits and those minors in their care. We currently do not filter or screen postings or sites on the Internet as a whole nor do we plan to in the foreseeable future. Customers and subscribers possibly offended by such material are encouraged to explore software options that block or filter sites that may be deemed unsuitable.
In addition to this, customers and subscribers are encouraged to use common sense and courtesy when creating postings and or sites on The WWW server that may be considered offensive to others. Also we ask that those customers using our WWW Page services keep all Adult or Sexual Content off their pages as we have a PG-13 rating on User Pages because of children and adults on our service that do not enjoy such content. If a customer has Adult or Sexual Content of Vulgar origin and is asked to remove the page and doesn't they will have the page immediately removed and will be subject to disconnection. Global Net reserves the right to remove any Website hosted on their servers. Thank You!

6. Canceling an Account.
Canceling you account CAN ONLY BE DONE, by sending a Postal US Mailed, letter to billing, at Global Net P.O Box 406 Philo, Ohio 43771 (No other methods of cancellation are accepted) and your account must be paid in full to cancel. Cancellations Must Be Received no later than the last day of the month for cancellation to take effect for the new month. Canceling an account CAN NOT take  place in the middle of the month. If you mail in your cancellation it will take effect midnight of the last day of the month. Any pay in advance plans are non-refundable. If you purchase one of these plans and decide to cancel before the end of its term, no refund will be given, and account will remain active till the end of its term then closed per user request. Locked Accounts and Collections. DSL Accounts must return the dsl modem at end of their service or up to a $200 fee will be added, and DSl accounts not active for a full 12 months will incur a $100 termination fee, along with any other unpaid fees. DSL Accounts will not be closed and subject to the recurring monthly fees till (1) early termiantion fee paid ((If Required)) and or (2) DSL Modem returned to Globalnet in working order and or (3) all monthly fees paid in full.

7. Any Account locked for non-payment and payment for account not paid in full is subject to and will be turned into the Credit Collection Agency. Any account that Global Net, LLC  turns over to the Collection Agency is subject to all costs including, but not limited too, Past Due Account Charges, Late Fees, Attorney Fees, and Collection Fees, and SETUP FEE Charge of $25.00 if account was not active, and paid on time for three  months. New accounts must pay within 5 days of connection to our service. Failure to do so can result in a suspended account, and placed on hold till payment is received. New accounts that have been walked thru setup, if a customer then decides to cancel service, a setup fee may be charged on the discretion of management.  

7b. Usage Limits.
Some accounts are subject to per hour charges. These include but not limited to plans such as the email only plans and limited access plans. For example the 20 hour cap plans are billed at $1.00 per hour over 20 hours. Once you have used up 20 hours, in a months period, you will be billed $1.00 per hour over the 20 hours, till the end of that months billing cycle. If you have chosen a limited plan, and find yourself going over this limit, then it may be best to switch to a unlimited plan.

7c. Unlimited Personal Plans are considered 150 hours a 30/31 day (Monthly)  usage, and are to be used as attended accounts. This means you must be physically be at your computer while online. Any account that goes over 150 hours is considered. Un-attended Access, and account holder will have to purchase a second account  and or subject to penalities. 8. SPAM, No one either mass mail or mail anything of a online advertisement to others without their direct permission, to do so is considered spam. Anyone caught doing this is in violation of Global net direct policy, and will be fined not less than $500.00, their account will be terminated, and may also face cleanup charges to be determined by management.

9. NOTICE: Some areas with the same area code may still be long distance for you to dial. Please check with your local telephone company before dialing to make sure that you will not be charged any long distance fees. Global Net, LLC. does not guarantee that a dial up number with your same area code is not long distance for you to call. Some areas even have what's called, Local Call Plus, which means you could be charge a per minute charge to dial a number. NOTE: It is YOUR responsibility to make sure that the access number you choose, or we supply you, is a local call.
We are NOT responsible for any long distance charges associated with internet access.

Global Net, LLC is not responsible for any long distance charges or changes in local access coverage associated with your use of our services. Please make sure your dial-up number is a local call.
